Participants: ?? Evans with 459 officers and men vs about 60 Comanche lodges.

Evans' command engaged the Indians near the mouth of Devil's Canyon.   The troops found the village another 2 miles from the first battle scene.  The Comanches were later joined by a bunch of Kiowa warriors from a nearby village.
