A Kiowa went out hunting and was attacked by the Cheyennes but escaped back to his village.  The Kiowas discovered the Cheyennes behind a breastworks.  The Cheyennes ran out of ammunitio, the Kiowas overan their position and killed them all.48 Cheyennes and 6 Kiowas were killed.
