Participants: Colonel Nelson Miles with the entire 5th Infantry against Sitting Bull's camp.
After several meetings with Sitting Bull failed, Miles attack the Indian camp on Cedar Creek. About 900 warriors were there to fight them but were soon broke up by howitzer fire. Only 2 soldiers were killed along with 5 Lakotas.
