Participants: Mail stage guarded by 10 solders attacked by 150 Sioux warriors.

A mail stage from Fort Fetterman heading to Fort Laramie that was being escorted by 10 soldiers under Sgt. Bahr was attacked near Horseshoe Creek by about 150 Lakota warriors.  The mail did get through.
