Participants: 10 wagons in a train and 200 Sioux warriors.

As the wagon train was crossing Box Elder Creek about 4 miles west of  LaPerle Station, 200 Oglala warriors swept in on them.  After being fed, the warriors attacked the people.  5 whites were killed and 0 Indians.
