Participants: Colonel Nelson Miles with the 5th Infantry and 2nd Cavalr against Sitting Bull's camp.

An advance unit under the command of  Lt. William Philo Clark ran into about 300 Indians near the mouth of Beaver Creek.  Clark hounded the Indians for 12 miles while Miles caught up and chased them back across the Canadian border with their families.  The Indians lost quite a bit of property but only three were killed along with three troopers.
