Participants: General E A Carr in command of the 5th Cavalry chased a large village of Cheyennes

The troops came up on the Indian village and a howling wind covered the noise of their charge.  This marked the end of of the operation to drive the five tribes on to the reservation in Oklahoma.  The attack left 53 Indians dead and no soldiers.
