Participants: General Patrick E Connor lead 125 cavalry and 90 scouts to attack a 300 lodge Arapaho village
The village was attack as the Indians were packing and getting ready to move. The attack was started by a battery of howitzers and then a charge by the cavalry. Connor led the pursuit up the valley 10 miles before he turned around and came back to the village where they spent the rest of the day destroying everything. About 35 to 40 Arapahos, 2 soldiers and 3 scouts were killed.
