While Julesburg was being attack, more than 70 warriors raided along the road to Denver. A stage with seven passengers was attacked and they made it to Valley Station. Five miles down the road the Indians hit a large wagon train camped for the winter burning all wagons an killing twelve men. At Valley Station they plundered most of the buildings and stole $2,000 in goods and burned 20 tons of hay.
